First Columbia- then Olla- now Winnfield! November is shaping up to be a tour of small town LA! I’ve been to the Earl K Long park tons- but never did a session in downtown Winnfield- can’t believe how many little spots there are that I’ve been missing…. thankfully these guys were willing to try it out- and I’m glad they did! Sooo….. as promised- here’s your little preview Andrea!
I can’t believe that the Holidays are here already! The mad rush is beginning! But- we’re closing up shop for Thanksgiving fromTuesday til Monday…. We’re heading off to visit Stu’s family in Texas!
Hope everyone has a great Thankgiving! I’m gonna take a little break, relax and maybe do some shopping before things really kick into high gear on the 28th!

I should also mention that colors of some of these can be changed- I realize that most of these are non-traditional and I can easily change the colors to be more Christmas if desired..

Just had a great session today! We went around downtown Olla - seriously- it only took about 30 mins… there is only so much “downtown” Olla- you know? I have to say though- I’m pleasantly pleased with the look of the old buildings… Anyway- when this family walked out of their house I was so excited to see these red shirts! Great choice Sheree- this is my new favorite look! If you’re trying to think of a color to wear- go dark red!! I’ll give a sneak peek in just a bit…
As for seeing other kinds of red… it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…. the malls are already CRAZY!! Things are picking up for me too and I can feel the Holiday rush already! If you’re thinking about Christmas pictures- I’ll be doing special Christmas portrait mini-sessions on November 28th and 29th. I plan to offer Christmas card templates as well as other packages. I’m starting to book these spots and look forward to booking some more!

Wow it was COLD today… and just a tad windy- not a great day for an outdoor session -esp one on the water…. but the sun was out and the sky was beautiful- I had a great time running around downtown Columbia- I’m thinking this is a spot that I’m gonna really like! I love the bridge in the background and just the overall feel of downtown… Now I need to find some more people willing to go there!

We had a great time trick or treating last night.. Claire got the hang of it right away- it didn’t take long for her realize that people were giving away CANDY!!!! I should get some pictures posted of the kids in their costumes….if I had any! NOTE TO SELF– photograph my own children a bit more! I actually didn’t get a picture of them trick or treating last night!
But I do have something to post! These guys were really against having their picture made… I put their session online today. The day of the shoot- I could tell they just wanted to go home - so I suggested a walk through the woods.. ME.. in the woods!! I’m not the outdoorsy type- but it had to be done and off we went to explore and climb trees in the woods! I found out that the woods are NOT that bad- well maybe they are for shutter speeds…
I’ve been thinking of starting this blog for months now… but who has the time? Right? My kiddos are asleep and Stu is watching Boston Legal…. so the procrastination is OVER!!!
I think this little blog will be a great way to keep track of news, specials and just a way to share my recent stuff… Speaking of… here’s a few images from a recent session with a couple of wonderful kids! This was my first session with Bryce… since he’s not exactly a small child- can I still say what a cutie pie he is? He is just an all around goodlooking young man. Emily- is a little fireball and just about the cutest little girl ever… she’s got the an even better personality! This is second session I’ve had with her and she makes it hard to believe I really get to do this “job”- I mean, who wouldn’t love to spend an afternoon running through a field playing airplanes? The Lord has blessed me!
