It’s a Wonderful World…

This family is so blessed-   blessed with lots of children- lots of girls…. all of which are absolutely beautiful.  Not to mention that there must be some good genes somewhere, because this family has the best eyes!  Every child has truly brilliant eyes- that are unique and individual to that little girl.  Children of large families are often “grouped” together when talked about… as if being part of a group somehow makes them one.   I won’t do that here.   so…………

Tennesee Revisited

I do believe in signs and things being more than just mere coincidence.  So what am I suppose to think when I have two sessions the same weekend with families from Tennesee?  Wow!   How often would that happen?

Baby N and her great parents had a session with me this weekend (at the same spot as my other Tennesee session…. lol)  She was a trooper and braved the tall grass..  What a dollbaby, right??

How lucky am I?   This little guy came down from Tennesee with his parents to visit and made an appointment with me while they were here.   No pressure to get awesome images, right? 

I first saw this family when Baby C was 3 months old.  He has certainly grown- and grown into quite the talker!  He babbled and talked and babbled and laughed and babbled some more…  making my job so easy and so much fun.    I can’t remember the last time I met such a good natured little toddler who didn’t mind smiling at me or interacting and playing with me.   He came right to me and never stopped smiling (well he did stop for a bit to stare in amazement at a few rocks here and there…. )

Finale

A little tribute to my last Senior of 2007- Andy….  kinda sad the season is over! 

The passing of time always seems especially poignant at graduation and the end of the school year.  The days and years with our kids seem shorter than we’d like.  Honestly- it’s the moms I think about.  Claire is sitting on my lap babbling away, and as much as I wonder what she’ll be like as a senior (what will she look like.. how tall will she be… will she have a strong sense worth and character about her-  will she be honest and kind…) I also want to freeze this time with my children.  I know, like all moms, I’ll be proud but that letting go has got to be hard and that graduation day will be a bittersweet accomplishment. 

Enough sap-   I did have a blast these last few months photography lots of seniors from all over- Olla, Winnfield, Vidalia, Atlanta, Tyler & Nacogdoches.  I feel so priviledged to help mark this time in young lives and I wish you all Good luck and blessings beyond…

Is Crock Pot the Rabbit a Boy or Girl? 

Hummm…..    It’s safe to say- Crock Pot is a girl..   Saturday I checked her cage and was suprised to see, yep,  BABIES!!!   I was speechless, then immediately yelled for stu (who was on a ladder- and not a good place to be yelled at).  We just kinda stood there and then all I could think of to say was

 ”Did you see any boy rabbits the day you got her?”   

He didn’t.  But obviously, there was more than one rabbit there.  So now there is more than one rabbit here too.  Crock Pot is a mommy of three-    In a few weeks- you may see me on the side of the road with a “FREE RABBIT” sign….

Milestones

This little blog is growing up-  looks like it’s gonna turn 10,000 hits soon!  I’d really like to know who is responsible for the 10,000th hit- so if it’s you- let me know- make a comment!  Maybe a free session or something to the 10,000th person (you know kinda like they do at Disney World!)

It’s raining 4 month olds!

I had another 4 month old baby in the studio today- all the way from Deville.  I really do appreciate it when people drive so far to see me.  I’m honored.   Plus-  I do love the 4 month  age since babies are usually so happy.   This is an age that most people shy away from pictures since babies can’t do much.  It’s true, they can’t sit.  But does that really matter?  They sure are sweet on the tummy or with those feet up in the air.

Stu stopped what he was doing to bring me this pink rug I got at Target-  he’s so good to me and supports my forgetfulness…

and last but not least- I think this is going to be my favorite of the day-  another connection picture that I love.  This image is really about Mom-  she’s the one I keep looking at- she’s smiling inside, you just can feel it…..

Jack is playing tball this year- he’s getting so big.  Not to mention that he’s  so cute in his “weal baseball playwer”  outfit.  Today- he was so happy before opening ceremonies-  he could hardly contain his excitement.  Here’s my blue-eyed boy on the way there-

Meanwhile- little did I know that I have quite the little picture ham!  Most of the time, my kiddos can’t stand the camera.  They cover their face, won’t look at me or just whine.  Today, something changed!  Claire saw a puppy and of course insisted on petting it.  She was just fine until she caught me with the camera on her- up she jumped and struck her pose!   I am in trouble!
