It’s hard to think that my babygirl is turning 2 in a few weeks- here she is at just 4 days old…

three posts in one day? This blog may not be able to withstand that much action!
I had a look at these as I downloaded them and I just couldn’t help but play with a few. These were taken just last night- with such an adorable little girl. There’s no way to deny how beautiful she is- everything was working with me last night- the sun, the weather, the child. She was being her silly little self- I know her mom was worried about how the pictures might turn out with her running and acting like a goofy 4 yr old. Are 4 yr olds anything other than goofy? I think her mom can relax because I got what may be one of the best closeups that I have ever taken.
There’s something about this picture that makes me want to stare a bit- I think that really great images have that characteristic. They make you want to pause and take it all in- maybe leave you wanting to know more … like how one little girl can have such deep soulful eyes.

Gena’s Bridals were done earlier this week at Dunleith Plantation in Natchez- really beautiful grounds and house. Great choice Gena! I also got to eat at one of my favorite places- Pearl Street Pasta…. so I didn’t mind the drive to Natchez!
Lately, I’ve been taking my sister Dena with me on bridal sessions- since she’ll be going to weddings with me too. She’s also been helping out at the studio on Fridays (since she’s going back to school)… Anyway- WOW- bringing her along is the smartest idea I’ve had in a while. She’s a worker- and so detailed oriented! I don’t think one drop of sweat went unnoticed or blotted on poor Gena’s face. Why are wedding dresses so HOT? Also- it turns out that Gena and Dena (ha) are cut from the same cloth- both are a bit OCD in a good way, both are neat clean people, and both have expertly arranged pantries and bathroom closets… AND both are prematurely gray… lol

I saw this baby girl about a little over a week ago- just 4 months old- what a sweet natured baby.
Here she is- I’m also trying out a new browner, chocolate black and white conversion. I think I like it!

and my new basket from Target- where else???

If any of you know my Jack- you’ll know he does what he wants… He’s my high spirited child… A good friend says that he’s my Fire and Claire is my Earth… I think that’s a pretty fair assessment. Jack has a lot of the characteristics of fire- he unpredictable, has a life and mind of his own, bold… He’s the kid who cries when he sees a camera, or had to be bribed with treats to let me practice.. In fact, I’ve been known to stick him up in a tree so he couldn’t get away, just to try out some new ideas!
So when he wanted to take pictures, I was shocked! Turns out he’s a poser- and he cried when it rained and we couldn’t go outside to take more. I’ve been waiting for this for YEARS! So hopefully- we’ll see more of Jack in the future!
Here’s my blue eyed man- in need of a haircut and a bath- but he’s in pictures nonetheless! I can’t resist the extreme closeup with this child- the eyes!!!

I have been around the world in the last week- Natchitoches, Monroe, Alexandria and even Natchez- I’m worn out! So I’m a little behind, yet again, on the blog….. I do have about 8 sessions backed up to blog- so I’ll just get started with one of them!
This awesome family is from Arkansas and did I ever give them a welcome! I made them wait an hour on me- I really hope they forgive me.. I got some great pics of their sweet boys-

Does anyone have plans for Christmas yet? The Glaesers do!
It looks like instead of the usual presents this year, Santa will be bringing a little something extra- a new baby to the Glaeser house. Yep….a THIRD baby…. Oh goodness….. it’s gonna be a Merry Christmas alright!
Meet the newest Glaeser kid…. the oblong twinkie, peanut shaped “area” (for lack of a better word) in the pic below (its a really bad pic- so an imagination may be helpful)…. Baby is already scheduled to arrive three days before Christmas on the 22nd! I’m not preparing a fullblown Christmas feast, that’s for sure!
Baby Tres…

or I should say- the Panteen Model- her hair…. OMG.. All my life, I’ve wanted thick long wavy hair, the kind you can swing around your shoulders or wear thick long ponytails- hair that looks great what ever you do to it.. as children, my sister and I would wear towels on our heads and dream of the day we could replace it with thick locks of hair.. needless to say, I have the thinnest hair of anyone I know, it gets ratty instead of wavy and forget about swinging it around in slow motion stopping men in their tracks… That- we’ll leave to Lauren!
She did get quite a few whistles and honks from passersby while we were shooting. I started to push her off in that water- but she’s just too likable for that! Really- such a great fun girl- this shoot could have went on all day long, and I would not have minded! We were in Natchitoches- and worried about rain, but thank goodness the weather held out, because a few of these are breathtaking…

Tori really is a cowgirl… and she’s so easy and fun to work with! I met up with her again for a few post wedding bridal shots- she really wanted some images with her horses (but that’s not the kind of thing you really should do in a wedding dress before the wedding..)- When we got to the spot, there were fresh hay bails- and of course Tori was up for climbing up on top of one!

we took pictures right up til sunset- the sky was gorgeous… and they bailed hay right up til sunset..
