The best laid plans….

sometimes never work!  I tried everything I could think of with Ms. L and she just did not like me!  I was looking forward to their session.  I had first seen this baby at her first birthday shoot, where we captured fantastic portraits.  This time she came with her mom for another studio session- which started going downhill even before she stepped foot inside!  Things went south pretty quickly from there, so we decided a change of scenery would work to help to put her in a better mood.  BAD IDEA!!!!  Miss L went from unhappy to plain mad…   

However, she still manages to be adorable, even while venting her frustrations with me. 

I’ll do better next time Sam! 

Simply Beautiful!

I’m a little behind in blogging this bride below (about a month actually)… I thought it best to get her bridals posted before the wedding in a few weeks!  

In my next life, I want to come back and be in the same profession as this bride- she’s a pastry chef.  That sounds like a great profession to me and something that I could do.   It’s probably for the best that I’m not a pastry chef since I would have guessed a pastry chef looked more like me (read full figured).  She is incredibly tiny and petite and so beautiful!  Her wedding gown was really exquisite and all I could say was, Wow… wow- that’s dress is great.

Stephen and Gena

The internet is giving me fits today!  It’s down on and off at work- so I’ll be doing these from home.. I just really want to get some posted for the bride and groom (who are honeymooning in San Antonio, by the way).

Stephen and Gena got married on Saturday in a great wedding that was really so much fun!  Everyone was terrific and it’s so nice to be around people who are happy and excited! I was kind of nervous going into this wedding with the number in the bridal party- 23 persons- but they were easy to work with! I have to admit that even though I normally don’t get emotional during weddings that I work- but I was tearing up at this one…..   

 

I had to add one more!  Lately, my sister Dena has been going to weddings and doing a little second shooting with me….  and I have to admit, she does a pretty good job-   Here’s a shot of her’s that I was impressed with- Beautiful framing and awesome use of light! Keep up the great work Dena!

Erin and PJ

These two got married a few weeks ago in an absolutely beautiful ceremony.  It was nice to follow this couple from their engagement session back in Feb. to the Bridal in April and now the Wedding in June!

I also never got to share Erin’s bridal, since we were all afraid PJ might take a peek- so here are some from a few months ago!

Babygirl..

I’m sure this will come as a shocker, but I’m still around!   I’m going to post today, since my husband scolded me and told me to get back to business and I’ve seen comments asking if I’m okay-  yes I’m okay!  Sorry to be such a bore with the blog though!  It has certainly taken a backseat lately.  But I haven’t stopped working, just stopped posting… 

So here’s a recent session with a new family and their sweet baby girl!  Normally I prefer new babies, 2 weeks and under.  But this little girl was spoiling me to older newborns with her amazing eye contact!  Either she didn’t know what to think of my flashing lights, or she thought I was really interesting…. either way, it works for some great images of her and her parents!

Happy 4th!

We went out to the annual Tri-City Firework show last night- of course I brought the camera for some firework shots!   Poor Claire didn’t get the see see the show- she spend her time snoozing on Mrs. Strong’s lap.  But Jack liked it and after he begged,  I let him take a few pictures too.  He didn’t do too bad-   I think he’s going to be into photography.  Lately, I’ve been catching him with my Rebel Xt at home- he can fill up a memory card as fast or faster than his mom!

Summer Fun

Dance is finally out of the way, well ordered at least and waiting for it to get here!  I’m so glad to be done with all that work- it really turned into alot more work this time than I had expected!   So now that Dance is all done, it’s on to the Beach pics from weeks ago- that’s right- WEEKS ago!   I can’t believe I’m actually this far behind!   Here’s some from a few family sessions there-
