Halloween- it’s that time of year again!

Bridal with Bugs

and a million mosquitoes and grass hoppers and huge spiders.  Karen was a trooper and better than I would have been in a wedding dress, humid weather and bugs crawling all over me.  I had the idea shoot with a chair in very tall grass, never thinking of the creatures that called that grass home.  She was great through it all though- despite the fact that I forgot the bug spray!

in Hartford, Hereford and Hampshire hurricanes hardly ever happen

Not so, Eliza Doolittle in Lousiana!  

So a little hurricane came through, we lost power for 4 days and now I haven’t been at work for a bit!   I seem to take extended leaves from time to time, don’t I?  I have a habit of posting like crazy and then, let one minor incident occur and I am gone for a bit.   Our last name should be Morton, because when it rains, it POURS!!!  I’ve had a busy few weeks since my last post.  I think I’ll make a list!

1. It was my birthday.  It was not necessarily celebrated though…

2. We met Gustav. 

3. Having three kids and not being a fan of pioneer days, we headed north to Arkansas for the duration of the power outage.

4. Claire had her monthly fever (which was worse this time), poor baby had ulcers covering her tonsils! ouch…

5. Jack’s birthday was the 7th.  Happy 6th birthday to my sweetie!

6. Spencer has his 9 month check up and the little chunk is 25 pounds already!! I joke and say he’s carrying him around on my hip is contorting my spine.  Really…

Throw in a few sessions here and there, an hour of homework each night for Jack and I am one busy mama!
